Deante' Hitchcock Taps Fellow Atlanta Rapper Young Nudy for "Attitude"
From the Atlanta rapper’s new standout album ‘BETTER.’
Atlanta rapper Deante’ Hitchcock returned late last week with his latest project, BETTER, a full-length album that showcased the depth of his growing talent and was a standout selection in HYPEBEAST’s latest Best New Tracks installment. Today the rising emcee taps fellow ATL-ian Young Nudy for his new “Attitude” visual directed by iNightlyfe GLP.
The “Attitude” offering is a stark black and white narrative of police raids and overhead drone shots that keeps the aesthetic simple enough so that Deante’ can showcase his lyricism. “Good people die but we stay all the time/ Is what you livin’ for real or worth dyin’?/ When that MAC on your head gotta make up your mind/ Live like an optimist, die in your prime,” he raps to round out his second verse. At times there are jarring shots of Nudy rapping and dancing with multiple law enforcement guns aimed at him in the background.
BETTER spans 10 total tracks and includes contributions from J.I.D., 6LACK, Miguel, and more. Production duties were handled entirely by longtime collaborator Brandon Phillips-Taylor.
