‘Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' Is Free on PlayStation 4 This April
The final installment for Nathan Drake.
Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Theif’s End is free for all PlayStation Plus subscribers this month. After offering the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for free at the beginning of the year, the final installment in the Uncharted series is now getting the same treatment.
Here is the official story description for Uncharted 4:
“Several years after his last adventure, retired fortune hunter, Nathan Drake, is forced back into the world of thieves. With the stakes much more personal, Drake embarks on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure.”
Although it has had some difficulty getting off the ground, an Uncharted film is finally expected to arrive sometime in 2021 following its recent delay. The film will star Tom Holland as a young Nathan Drake, akin to the flashbacks in Uncharted 3. His mentor Sully will be played by actor Mark Wahlberg. Naughty Dog’s next game, The Last of Us Part II, is also expected to arrive at the end of May. That franchise has also been greenlit for an HBO TV show adaptation that may add elements of the franchise’s upcoming game in its series.
All PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download Uncharted 4 alongside racing simulator Dirt Rally 2.0 on April 7 until May 4. However, users can also download Shadow of the Colossus Remake for free until April 6.
In related gaming news, Ubisoft is giving away free games to encourage people to stay at home.
