'Uncharted' Film Casts Tom Holland of 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' as Nathan Drake
The film will also revolve around the ‘Drake’s Deception’ storyline.
Tom Holland, the titular star of Spider-Man: Homecoming, is now cast to play young Nathan Drake in Sony Pictures’ Uncharted adaptation of Naughty Dog’s hit Playstation franchise.
Director Shawn Levy will take inspiration from the third game in the franchise to develop the story, where the character’s origins are explored more. This direction was influenced by Sony Pictures chief Tom Rothman when he saw the latest cut of the upcoming Spider-Man film.
Past scripts spanning all the way back to 2009 from the likes of Joe Carnahan, David Guggenheim, and Eric Warren Singer have now been reformulated by this new draft, which will attempt to focus on the protagonist as he grows into the treasure hunter fans know him to be.
With E3 right around the corner, stay tuned for more details on the upcoming action-adventure-based film.
