Tom Holland is not keeping this a secret. The young actor appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and spoke about Spider-Man 4. He confirms to the talk show host and his audience that the movies on the way and is set to begin production next summer.
During the interview, Holland doubles down on the confirmation sharing, “Next summer, we start shooting. Everything’s good to go — we’re nearly there. Super exciting. I can’t wait!” Just recently, Tom Hollan shared on the Rich Roll Podcast that he has read the script alongside his co-star and girlfriend Zendaya. He said of the script, “It needs work, but the writers are doing a great job. I read it three weeks ago, and it really lit a fire in me. Zendaya and I sat down and read it together, and we at times were bouncing around the living room like, ‘This is a real movie worthy of the fans’ respect.’ But there’s a few things we need to figure out before we can get that really going, but it’s exciting.”
Holland stepped into the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in 2019. Shooting three standalone films, the actor also admitted last year to Collider that he always wants to do “justice to the character.” He added, “I feel very protective over Spider-Man. I feel very, very lucky that we were able to work on a franchise that got better with each movie, that got more successful with each movie, which I think is really rare, and I want to protect his legacy. So, I won’t make another one for the sake of making another one. It will have to be worth the while of the character.”
