Lil Uzi Vert Takes Fans on Alien Abduction Tour in "That Way" Lyric Video
Following the resolution of the single’s cover art controversy.
Lil Uzi Vert returns with a new half-music, half-lyric video to hold his fans over during the current self-quarantine and isolation period. His Backstreet Boys-sampling hit single “That Way” from the Eternal Atake (Deluxe Edition), better known as Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World 2 combines bonus footage from the album trailer with some outer space graphics and neon text for an engaging new visual. It’s Outkast’s “Prototype” music video on steroids with plenty added visual effects.
Uzi surprised fans when he dropped Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World 2 just a week after his album launched, debuting 14 new tracks with a plethora of features from Chief Keef, 21 Savage, Future, Gunna, Young Thug and more. It didn’t come without some controversy though, as the “That Way” single cover art faced plagiarism claims. Uzi responded, “Hey I’m not a mean person or a thief I get inspired a lot,” in Korean illustrator Tae Tae’s Instagram post claiming his original artwork was the basis for the image. “If you want Money I will have my team contact and give you Money. Signed… Baby Pluto. P.S. You are a great artist.”
Eternal Atake earned Uzi his second No. 1 album .
