Chinese basketball star Guo Ailun has received another potent PE from Jordan Brand: an Air Jordan 34 Low. This marks the star point guard’s third Air Jordan PE after an Air Jordan 33 and high-top Air Jordan 34 — and it’s undoubtedly his most bold style yet.
Boasting a comic book-inspired look, Ailun’s Air Jordan 34 Low uses a “CMYK” color scheme with a white base plus pink, teal and yellow accents. Polka-dotted quarter panels and bold, thick black borders around each piece hammer home the inspiration even further. Although its colors and cut may be different, the assemblage of accents calls to mind images of LeBron James‘s ultra-limited LeBron 6 “Stewie Griffin” PE.
Ailun-specific embellishments also appear throughout the shoe. Chinese characters on the inside of the tongue roughly translate to “where the heart is, where the body is,” and Ailun’s signature #6 graphic graces the right heel. From a performance standpoint, the AJ34 Low uses the same forefoot-loaded Zoom Air bag and responsive Eclipse Plate as its high-cut counterpart, making for a high-flying style with plenty of court feel.
The Air Jordan 34 Low “Guo Ailun” PE will release exclusively on Nike SNKRS China on April 9. The MSRP is set at ¥1,399 CNY (approximately $199 USD).
