New Balance Adds Iridescent 3M & Snakeskin to 997 & 997S in "Greek Gods" Pack

DTLR has served up the first look at its exclusive New Balance 997 and 997S models in the upcoming “Greek Gods” pack.

The sneakers are coined M997 “Perseus” and M997 “Sport Medusa.” For the original 997 model, New Balance has given it a black and “Cool Grey” colorway that sports iridescent 3M trim on the collar, tongue and around the eyestay. Other notable touches include a grey “N” mid-panel logo that sits atop of a snakeskin “N” outline, and the embroidered branding that appears in red and blue colors to match the tongue’s color-changing nature.

For the 997S, New Balance delivers a bevy of seasonal colors such as two shades of get suede for the upper, iridescent 3M trim, yellow trim around the grey “N” emblem and yellow laces. The collar and vamp are given a touch of light blue suede in contrast to the dark base, while the sole unit appears in crisp white like its counterpart. More yellow can be found on the tongue, highlighting the embroidered branding, while a final stamp on the sole unit noting its ENCAP REVEAL technology rounds off the pair.
