Nike React Infinity Run Goes Grayscale
Stark, soft and supportive, all at once.

Designed to reduce injuries and wear-tested for a whopping 500-600 miles, Nike Running‘s React Infinity Run is nothing if not a high-performance piece of footwear. However, its sport-geared build is still inherently stylish — and that’s proven on this new grayscale-esque “Black/White” colorway.
Built from sturdy-yet-supple Flyknit, the uppers mix three different grayscale shades. Brisk white is present on the forefoot, and heads up to the midfoot before being met by a heather gray pattern on the collar, tongue and throat. The plastic heel clip and partially cut off Nike Swoosh bring a bold black and white print that’s almost houndstooth in nature, completing the trifecta of tones.
More detail arrives by way of black laces and a black heel tab, while the top half of the aforementioned Swoosh is sketched out in black as well. React-branded heel pieces add a little more structure, with ultra-thick white React midsoles/black rubber outsoles providing a finishing touch of run-ready comfort and durability.
The Nike React Infinity Run “Black/White” is priced at $160 USD, and available now via Nike JP. A US release will likely follow in the coming days.
React may be one of Nike’s newest running technologies, but Air Max is undeniably the most well know, — so for Air Max Day, HYPEBEAST called upon 17 luminaries of sneaker culture to share what Max meant to them.
