Orion Sun has finally dropped off her debut studio album with Hold Space For Me, a mature, deeply personal record that spans 11 tracks of self-produced material featuring widespread influences from hip-hop, R&B, jazz and more. She touches on heartbreak, loneliness, and finding her voice amidst times of haziness and introspection.

Orion Sun first dropped a series of conceptual music videos meant to capture his isolation and independence, first with “Ne Me Quitte Pas”, then with the space-inspired “Coffee For Dinner” and “Lightning.” She described her last single as her own personal version of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On.”

“I definitely got into production because I couldn’t find the exact thing I was looking for, because I couldn’t really put it into words. So going into making music, it really is this thing where I never know what’s gonna happen,” she told HYPEBEAST in a recent interview. “There’s a plan up until sitting down and looking at the screen but I just kind of feel what I’m feeling very intensely and just try to score it pretty much. So if I’m feeling angry there’s definitely going to be some minor chords in there, things like that. For the most part I pull from the music that I love to listen to which is hip-hop, RnB, soul just indie which is alternative rock which is punk rock, experimental music.”

The singer, songwriter and producer took to her Instagram account to write a heartfelt message about her new project. Listen to Hold Space For Me below. In more music news, PARTYNEXTDOOR sat down with HYPEBEAST for a rare interview to talk about his new project PARTYMOBILE and his collaborations with Drake and Rihanna.
