Following its recent co-sign with BILLY’s on the 1530 and 575 silhouettes, New Balance Japan is back with the latest reworkings of the classic M1300 — M1300CL in four distinctive colorways. Each piece comes with retro details that were seen in the model’s original 1985 release, features that lead the launch of New Balance’s 1000 series.

Coming in colors of gray, navy, black and green, the M1300CL sees a mix of materials like pigskin suede, ultra-fine mesh and full-grain leather. Starting at the top of the silhouette is a woven label marked with “NB” and “Classic,” just above “1300.” Thick flat laces are looped through delicate suede panels at the sidewalls, lush fabrics that also appear at the heel counter and around toecap. Breathable mesh underlays are placed at the upper quarter and toebox, harkening back to the sporty sensibilities of the vintage running shoe. Other details like the double-stacked “N” logo at the sides, a TPU heel stabilizer and a compact two-toned ENCAP midsole round up the designs of the silhouette.

The New Balance M1300CL is currently available for pre-order at New Balance Japan’s website for $300 USD.
