New 'Persona 5 Royal' Trailer Introduces Newest Member of Phantom Thieves
‘Persona 5 Royal’ arrives March 31.
In anticipation for the Western release of Persona 5 Royal, Atlus has released a new trailer re-introducing the main cast alongside the newest member of The Phantom Thieves Kasumi Yoshizawa. Although Yoshizawa is being introduced in this updated version of the title (one of our most anticipated titles this year), her presence will play a central role in the game’s plot, affecting several stories differently than the original game.
She will also have her own dedicated cutscenes, palace stage (which may be themed around an opera house), and new persona named Cendrillion. The footage above showcases several brand new partner attacks as well, including a new all-out attack animation for Futaba. Persona 5 follows Joker, aptly named “protagonist” in the trailer, who is wrongfully accused of assault and expelled from his former school. After that he ends up at Shujin Academy, where he meets the rest of those who would become part of The Phantom Thieves.
Check out the trailer above and grab Persona 5 Royal when it arrives March 31.
