While H.E.R. didn’t take home any of her five Grammy nominations at the 2020 awards ceremony last night, she still graciously dropped off a new single for fans during her soulful live performance. Kicking things off on the piano before eventually nailing a guitar solo, the singer serenaded the crowd with the new single “Sometimes,” a mellow tune revolving around life’s ups and downs and the many things thrown our way over the course of figuring it all out.

H.E.R. already counts two Grammy wins under her belt, having picked up nods for Best R&B performance and Best R&B Album in 2019 for “Best Part” and H.E.R., respectively. Still, the artist famously doesn’t even consider H.E.R. an official debut album, notably mentioning that “it’s not even an album, it’s an EP” during her 2019 Grammys speech. Regardless, it hasn’t hindered the musician from experiencing breakout success over the last year, logging collaborations with YG (“Slide”), DRAM (“The Lay Down”) and YBN Cordae (“Racks”) among others. Listen to the official audio for “Sometimes” now by scrolling to the video above.

Elsewhere for the songstress, she joined Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw lineup last November. Meanwhile, she released a lively remix of “Slide” earlier this month by recruiting Pop Smoke, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, and Chris Brown.
