New Balance Dresses 1500 in Athletic Club-Inspired Green & Gold
Celebrating its relationship with the Spanish football club.
After releasing special-edition sneakers for Celtic and Liverpool earlier this year, New Balance has now collaborated with another football club. This time working with Spanish team Athletic Club, New Balance has redesigned its 1500 silhouette for a special-edition release celebrating the relationship between the team and the brand, which has made Athletic’s kits since 2017.
The sneaker is dressed in a dark green colorway, which is a reference to both the Bilbao-based club’s 2019/20 away jersey and the flag of the Basque region that the club hails from. Other details include gold touches towards the toe box and on the “N” branding, as well as red embroidery on the tongue and side.
Take a look at the Athletic Club x New Balance 1500 in the gallery above, and expect the collaborative sneaker to release at New Balance stores in Spain on September 20.
