Wales Bonner Reinvents Luxe Sportswear & Informal Tailoring in "Mambo" SS20 Collection
Featuring a collaboration with adidas Originals.
BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund 2019 winner Grace Wales Bonner has presented her Spring/Summer 2020 collection titled “Mambo.”
For SS20, Wales Bonner once again provides a hybrid of European and Afro-Atlantic approaches in the collection, seen through traditional tailoring and a unique take on leisurewear with the help of adidas Originals. The collaborative pieces are Wales Bonner’s standout offerings for the upcoming season, merging the line between formal and leisurewear with looks such as a cream tailored tracksuit that channels an aesthetic similar to traditional horse riding uniforms.
Elsewhere, “Mambo” delivers a Wales Bonner x adidas Originals vest in red, a selection of Three Stripe-adorned tailored track pants, and a variety of vintage-inspired adidas Originals sneakers, appearing in brown leather, dusty pink suede and white Primeknit.
Aside from the collaboration is a selection of polished mainline looks, such as a brown suede belted coat, a dusty pink ruffle-front shirt, and a standout Cerulean blue-hued silk two-piece.
