Kanye West & Bon Iver Join Francis and the Lights for New Cut "Take Me to the Light"
The trio’s follow-up to 2016’s “Friends.”

Francis and the Lights has returned alongside Kanye West and Bon Iver for a new cut entitled “Take Me to the Light,” the dynamic trio’s first collaborative track since 2016’s “Friends.” The song sees Kanye West and Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon offering up tender-hearted background vocals that have been placed alongside nostalgically-tinged synths and pads, allowing for Francis to shine through with his Phil Collins-esque vocals.
The new cut runs in at just over four-minutes, allowing for the track to develop into an indie-pop masterpiece as the production builds throughout. On top of the aforementioned credits, the track itself also offers co-production from Cashmere Cat and BJ Burton, who also participated in the production side of “Friends.” According to Francis’ website, “Take Me to the Light” is the title track for his forthcoming project, the follow-up to 2017’s Just for Us.
