Just like the original offering, the updated “München Made in Germany” Oktoberfest models will be beer resistant (as well as throw up resistant). This time around two colorway options inspired by traditional lederhosen will be available: a dark brown like the OG model and a new beige iteration. Crafted from premium quality full-grain leather, each pair then features light-colored stitching and Three Stripes branding, along with embroidered pretzels on the back heel counter. Additionally the word “Prost” — German for “Cheers” — is showcased on the lateral sides. The most noteworthy aspect of the “München Made in Germany” Oktoberfest sneakers is that any drops of liquid that happen to fall upon them will instantly roll off thanks to its DPBR protective coating.
adidas tapped the likes of German model Lena Gercke, rapper Sido and football star David Alaba to showcase the upcoming celebratory sneakers. Check out the lookbook above. Oktoberfest runs from September 1 until October 6.
The adidas Originals “München Made in Germany” Oktoberfest pack will be a limited edition release starting Saturday, September 14. The brown colorway will be available at adidas and select retailers, while the beige pair is exclusive to adidas only.
