Ibn Jasper’s Stratica International has unveiled its upcoming collection of Fall/Winter 2019 footwear offerings. The collection sees reworks of the Broadway Ralley and Wilshire sneakers, as well as new silhouettes such as the clean, tennis-inspired Monaco, the Elyees Hi, and the chunky, multilayered Dakar Desert.

The forward-thinking collection pays respect to classic sneaker shapes and interprets them with the use of luxury fabrics, premium details and meticulous levels of attention to detail in the construction process. The shoes feature outsoles that utilize a “layer by layer” approach, meaning each foxing tape needs to be cleaned, buffed and rid of glue stains in a 65-minute-per-pair process.

Sneakers are inspired by brutalist architecture, auto racing and skateboarding culture, seen most prominently in the Wilshire vulcanized shoe and the new Dakar Desert offering. Jasper has given the Wilshire a camouflaged upper with black, red and leopard print mixed fabric overlays, and then incorporates rubber caps, a multilayered sole and a checkerboard design into the shoe’s construction. With the Dakar Desert — one of the collection’s strongest looks — overlapping layers have been used to create a three-dimensional aesthetic that adds definition and fun to the upper, with cowhide, leopard print and suede components poking through leather overlays.

Elsewhere Stratica International presents a clean tennis shoe dubbed the Monaco, which uses white leather alongside cream and grey panels to create the label’s most minimal shoe to date. Rounding off the collection is the black leather Elyees Hi, and returning in a new, dark colorway is the Broadway Ralley, which features Italian Napa leather, nubuck, waxed suede, tumbled leather, mesh, a Lycra sock liner with expandable elastic, Velcro, 3M reflective layers and branded hardware hand-painted one-by-one.

In other news, Shoes 53045 has dropped its all-new Loaf’Air silhouette.
