Shoes 53045 has expanded its footwear offering with its latest creation, the Loaf’Air. Expanding upon its one-shoe design — the super-chunky Bump’Air — this new loafer-inspired silhouette brings together a classic design with the brand’s signature futuristic design, a large air sole unit.
The upper is inspired by traditional penny loafers, while the sole unit brings two components together — one full-length air bubble unit that is thick and finished in a translucent black hue, and a second outsole also finished in black which channels a rugged utilitarian design with its grippy bottom and drilled aesthetic.
Shoes 53045’s founder, David Tourniaire-Beauciel, also drew inspiration from the whip-stitch slip on, as seen via the Loaf’Air’s crimped, rounded toe box. The leather-free pair is finished with white-printed branding on the sock liner as a further nod to traditional dress shoes. Take a look a the heavily-90’s-indebted Loaf’Air in the gallery above, and pick up a pair for yourself exclusively via Shoes 53045’s website for $450 USD — in which one tree is planted for every Loaf’Air purchased.
