adidas Originals is rethinking where a watch needs to be worn with the new ADAPTIK ONE, a digital timepiece that shifts between a conventional wristwatch and a carabiner-style hanging watch.
Built around a clean 38mm square aluminum case, the design pairs a digital display with a color-matched silicone strap for a lightweight, sport-inflected look that leans naturally into the label’s streetwear vocabulary. A sliding mechanism allows the watch head to be transferred to the included carabiner attachment, letting it hang from a belt loop, bag or other accessories rather than remaining fixed to the wrist. The lineup spans three references in blue, black and green, giving the functional concept a simple color-led identity.
Underneath the playful format, the ADAPTIK ONE keeps its specifications deliberately straightforward, using a battery-powered digital quartz movement alongside stopwatch, calendar and backlight functions, with a 38mm-wide, 11.5mm-thick case weighing approximately 45 grams and offering 3 ATM water resistance.
More than a conventional watch with an interchangeable strap, the design treats the timepiece as a wearable accessory that can move between the wrist and clothing depending on the styling. Each of the three colorways is officially priced at ¥20,900 JPY (approx. $132 USD), the adidas Originals ADAPTIK ONE is scheduled to release in Japan on November 27, 2026 via the brand’s website.
