RIMOWA recently teamed up with NYC MetroCard on the second installment of its “Never Still” campaign. Continuing the campaign’s creative concept of “no one builds a legacy by standing still,” the latest release sees the luggage manufacturer reimagine the primary payment method for the New York City subway and buses. Limited to 250,000 pieces, four limited-edition cards have been designed to celebrate RIMOWA’s iconic grooved duraluminium suitcases and highlight various forms of travel through playful illustrations.

Adding to its growing line up of collaborations, AKILA recently linked 10.DEEP on a selection of hexagonal sunglasses for FW19.
Dubbed the 720º, the unique lenses come in neon green with black lenses, blue with amber lenses and black with amber lenses. For those looking for a more subtle look, there is a classic pair of black frames with black lenses. Each frame is crafted of durable bio-acetate paired with scratch resistance and 100% UVA/UVB protection lenses. Finally, each come complete with a custom-designed box and case-specific to the collaboration.

The white base long-sleeved T-shirt is decorated with lyrics taken from Cudi’s “Rose Golden” off of Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin.’ Evocative phrases are emblazoned on the sleeves of the piece in contrasting black puffy print. Dickies and Timberland recently came together for a limited-edition capsule collection for Opening Ceremony.
The special range is comprised of an industrial shirt, loose fit shorts and work pants, done in gray, white, black and khaki and decorated all over with Dickies logos. A playful take on workwear, the unique pieces can be worn together or on their own to serve as statement pieces. Rounding up the capsule are takes on a classic Timberland silhouette decorated with the same all over Dickies print on the upper part of the rear.

P.A.M. recently unveiled its latest FW19 collection filled with a series of casual staples dressed with bold graphics.
Titled “Beyond The Clouds,” the range is comprised of loose cuts and technical fabrics expressed in an array of vibrant colors. Layering pieces like a neon bomber jacket, multi-paneled parkas, coach jackets, sweatpants, and nylon pullovers highlight the label’s penchant for sport-leaning wares. Notable items include various jacquard knits, outerwear lined with Polartec insulation and a pair of patchwork pants that juxtapose clashing plaid patterns.

Building on its long-standing relationship with the aviation world, IWC Schaffhausen‘s latest Silver Spitfire project “The Longest Flight” will see a restored iconic British aircraft circumnavigate the globe, taking off from Goodwood Aerodrome. To celebrate the longest flight ever made by any Spitfire, IWC crafted the Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Spitfire Edition “The Longest Flight.”
The 46mm stainless steel watch features an 82760 Calibre automatic self-winding movement with a 60-hour power reserve. The special timepiece features IWC’s patented timezone function for travel through different timezones, a 24-hour display for a world timer function, a date display, a convex sapphire glass with an anti-reflective coating on both sides, secured against displacement due to a drop in air pressure. Completing the design of the Pilot’s Watch is a 22mm military green textile strap.

Timeless Luxury Watches x Grand Seiko Limited Edition Spring Drive

Texas-based timepiece store Timeless Luxury Watches and Japanese watchmaker Seiko recently teamed up to create a limited-edition Grand Seiko.
Limited to 250 units, the watch is inspired by a blizzard in Shirojiri, Japan, where Grand Seiko’s Shinshu Studio is located. Utilizing the watchmaker’s 30-jewel Caliber 9R66 Spring Drive movement, the timepiece features a 41mm stainless steel case with blue GMT hands placed on a contrasting white dial reminiscent of the “beauty of heavy snow.” The watch features a power reserve of 72 hours with an exceptional accuracy of +/-10 seconds per month. Finally, the special timepiece is water-resistant to 10 bar, and features both a dual-curved sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating and a sapphire see-through case back on revealing the brand’s Lion emblem with a blue metallic finish.

Modernica and KRINK have come together once again on another take on the iconic Shell Chair, which follows their 2014 collaboration.
This time around, the Case Study Furniture® Fiberglass Shell Chair has been dressed with dripping white paint from the top of the back support to the edge of the seat. The pattern applied on the Jet Black fiberglass shell and soft fabric is taken from the original painting by founder and owner of KRINK Craig Costello. Rounding up the design of the chair is black trim around the edges, a tonal Eiffel base and KRINK’s logo plate.
