KOTA The Friend Raps in the Desert in "SEDONA" Video

Brooklyn’s own KOTA The Friend drops the video for “SEDONA,” a song off his critically acclaimed album FOTO. In the video, which is shot and directed by KOTA himself, the budding MC is in the desert rapping while hanging with his friends. For the visual, KOTA actually shot the video in Sedona, Ariz. on a whim.
“When I decided to go shoot the video in Sedona it was a last minute decision,” he explained to HYPEBEAST. “I felt like I was at a stand still mentally and spiritually. So I figured it was the perfect time to cleanse my energy. I called up my best friend since elementary school and flew us out to Arizona. I propped up the camera, used my friend as a stand in to set up the frames and pressed record.”
FOTO is one of the most impressive albums of the year, boasting 25 million+ streams on his debut album that’s only been out one month. Names such as Noname, SZA, RZA, Micheal B Jordan, Chronnix, JID, Reason and others have shared their support of the album.
