As 2018 transitioned into 2019, Yung Bans decided to begin his run for this year by releasing a trio of new tracks: “ETA,” “Waterslide” featuring Lil Skies and “Fleeky.” Now, heading out to the West Coast for some assistance, Yung Bans links up with three of California’s brightest young talents for his latest high-profile collaboration; specifically, Shoreline Mafia rapper OhGeesy and D Savage join forces with Yung Bans for a Ron-Ron-produced single titled “On A Broke Bitch.”

“When I made my first song I was at a skatepark … This dude came [up to me], he had a studio up and said, ‘You look like you rap.’ It was so weird how God work,” Yung Ban recalled while speaking to us for a 2018 profile, sharing some insight into his back-story. “I didn’t look like no rapper. But he said, ‘I got a studio in my house and if you come back tomorrow we can record.’ I went back home and wrote two songs. I rapped to the instrumental from The Underachievers and made my own version.”

“People call you weird when you do it first and then they run up behind you and do it,” Bans adds. “Music isn’t all about lyrics, it’s the sounds … I don’t know how to describe it, I’m just doing me, I’m just living it.”
