Here's What Our Favorite Artists Wore at 'AMP Lost & Found' Festival
Featuring Yxng Bane, AJ Tracey, Koffee and Annie Mac.
HYPEBEAST recently experienced the Annie Mac Presents: Lost & Found festival in Malta firsthand, catching up with headliners AJ Tracey, Koffee, Yxng Bane and the host herself, Annie Mac for some quick photo ops. Performances from this year’s festival were some of the events’ best yet, celebrating five years of music on the Mediterranean island. The festival is known for its eclectic mix of artists, with this year’s lineup hosting the likes of Mostack, Shy FX, Octavian and Tiffany Calver.
Take a look at the streetsnaps below, featuring looks including pieces from Off-White™, a diamond-encrusted Rolex and numerous nods to the UK music scene.
Koffee
Kicking off our time at AMP: Lost & Found is Koffee, a 19-year-old reggae sensation pathing the way for a new generation of Jamaica’s home sound. BBC Radio 1 Xtra named Koffee as one of its “Hot for 2019” artists and has since worked with the likes of Major Lazer. While in Malta, the emerging reggae star kept it clean with a minimal black and grey outfit. Her T-shirt and jeans look is complemented with a tonal Kipling crossbody bag and a pair of Off-White™ x Nike Air Force 1s in “Volt.”
AJ Tracey
London rapper AJ Tracey graced the Tropicana Stage at this year’s AMP Lost & Found. His performance follows his impressive year of releases which includes his debut album Doing It and the recent eponymous debut studio album. This month, the rapper dropped the visuals for “Ladbroke Grove,” which pays homage to his Moroccan roots and his local London neighborhood. In Malta, AJ Tracey kept it casual with an outfit comprised of a COMME des GARÇONS PLAY T-shirt, heather grey Nike shorts and a clean white pair of Nike Air Max 90s with complementing tube socks.
AJ Tracey will soon be heading on his North American tour following the release of his album — which features the likes of Giggs, Jay Critch, and Not3s — before he heads back to the UK for sets at Wireless, Reading & Leeds and Parklife.
Yxng Bane
East London’s Yxng Bane is arguably one of the UK’s best newcomers, continuing to claim his stake in the UK music scene since his dancehall remix of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” in 2017, which accumulated millions of hits on SBTV’s YouTube channel. Since then, Yxng Bane has released the likes of “Rihanna” and “Vroom,” which became instant Summer hits in 2017 and 2018. HYPEBEAST captures Yxng Bane in Malta wearing a Balmain hoodie and clean pinstriped trousers and black sneakers. Bane, however, reworks his laid back look with Gucci socks, a diamond grill, various diamond rings, an iced-out gold Rolex Day-Date, a Hermes bangle and custom “WG” and “16” bracelets.
Annie Mac
Lost & Found‘s host Annie Mac is the last AMP star to sit down with HYPEBEAST. The Annie Mac Presents program was put in place to find the world’s best new music and is curated by Annie Mac herself, which she broadcasts on SoundCloud. The DJ also hosts the BBC Radio 1 show Future Sounds with Annie Mac — a showcase of even more top new music, the world’s hottest records, interviews and intimate live sessions. Annie’s most recent show heard Slowthai perform a UK-remix of Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road.” Here in Malta, Annie pays homage to the bright lights of her namesake festival with a simple neon yellow belted dress and Nike Air Max 97s, adding accessories throughout such as Polaroid sunglasses and gold earrings.
Recently, we met up with boxing champ Deontay Wilder for a style breakdown.
