Tate Modern & UNIQLO Announces Jenny Holzer-Inspired Tate Late
Featuring DJs, workshops and a special installation of her work.
Tate Modern has announced that the latest installment of its Tate Late series of events with UNIQLO will take inspiration from the work of Jenny Holzer. The event will centre on a specially-designed display of Holzer’s “Truisms” series, which features slogans devised as plays on cliché’s and well-known phrases.
As well as the showcase of Holzer’s work, the event will also feature other areas inspired by the “Truisms.” This is set to include workshops to devise your own “Truisms,” a zine-making class and talks written in response to some of the most famous works in the series. Alongside this, a number of DJs — including from London-based NTS Radio — will provide music throughout the evening. The Jenny Holzer-themed Tate Late will run from 6PM to 10PM on May 31.
