Kanye West and Jaden Smith Are Making an Anthology Series Called 'Omniverse'
It has an appropriately “woke” plot.
Artists Kanye West and Jaden Smith are joining forces to producer a half-hour limited anthology series called Omniverse. Produced by Scooter Braun’s SB Projects, Westbrook Studios, and writer Lee Sung Jin, Omniverse is set to focus on abstract perceptions.
Season one will examine ego through an alternate reality version of West himself, with Smith starring as the younger version of Kanye. This marks West’s first step into television and Smith’s next Hollywood project following Life in a Year and Skate Kitchen, two films he starred in last year. Jin has worked on projects such as Silicon Valley, Amazon’s Undone, and Netflix’s upcoming Tuca & Bertie.
