Jaden Smith Drops New 'Skate Kitchen' Single "BACK ON MY SH*T"

Fresh off the release of the video for “The Passion,” Jaden Smith serves up another new single.
Known as “BACK ON MY SHIT,” Jaden Smith’s latest finds him unleashing a flurry of bars over production from KeanuBeatz and Ayo & Keyz. Notably, the record was created for the official soundtrack in support of the new Crystal Moselle film Skate Kitchen — which Smith also stars in.
“I think I’m done with the flexing / This is a different direction,” Smith raps. “The next generation collection / I just hope you get the message / Feel it yet, feel it yet, feel it yet, feel it yet / I ain’t stressing bout the SMS /Think the plane had to redirect / Into that, intellect, intellect, intellect / Tried to get it, had to intersect / Skin cold, is it winter yet?”
“The song is completely inspired by the movie Skate Kitchen that just came out,” Jaden Smith explained to Zane Lowe during a Beats 1 exchange. “It’s about a female crew of skaters that are trying to find themselves, but they realize that their crew is the only thing that really helps them go through the city and feel like they are apart of something.”
