Lil Yachty to Star in MTV's 'How High 2' Movie
He will also executive produce the show too.

Lil Yachty will star in How High 2, the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2001 cult classic starring Method Man and Redman. The new film will premiere on MTV in 2019. Lil Yachty plays “Roger,” an entrepreneur and the younger brother of one of the protagonists from the original film. How High 2 will follow two young “potrepreneurs” on a weed-fueled journey to fund their on-demand munchies delivery start-up.
“We are excited to work with the talented team at MTV to breathe new life into the How High franchise,” says Glenn Ross, General Manager and Executive Vice President, Universal 1440 Entertainment. “This present-day telling will bring newcomers into the world of How High as well as provide the same priceless antics fans of the original will expect.”
How High 2 is written by Alex Blagg, Neel Shah, Shawn Ries and Artie Johann. The movie will be directed by Bruce Leddy. Kevin “Coach K” Lee, Pierre “Pee” Thomas from Quality Control plus Lil Yachty will serve as executive producers, along with Brian Sher. Shauna Garr returns as a producer alongside Mike Elliott. Josh Vodnoy, Morgana Rosenberg and Jason Goldberg serve as Executive Producers for MTV.
In other news, Yachty teamed up with Grailed in order to sell the rapper’s wardrobe collection back in August. The collection includes a wide selection of rare Supreme box logos in addition to pieces from luxury designers like Raf Simons, Margiela, Gucci and more.
