Converse‘s classic Chuck Taylor All-Star has seen its fair share of head-turning makeovers, with two new editions keeping in line with that proud tradition. This time, the iconic sneaker has emerged in two seasonal colorways, each sporting a different, yet no less distinctive, upper.
Following the glittery JW Anderson collaboration and lavish velvet GOLF le FLEUR* kicks, this pair of Chuck Taylors slot in neatly as bold alternatives to the familiar canvas editions. The sturdier Chuck 70 sports a bright iridescent upper, reflecting light into rainbow hues. The bold textile even runs up the tongue, with a translucent rubber sole to underline the sneaker’s futuristic inspiration.
Its counterpart is a regular All-Star silhouette, sporting the iconic white rubber midsole with black foxing and white canvas heel and vamp, complete with matching laces. The difference comes by way of a translucent mesh-like upper, which makes the shoe entirely see-through. It retains the circular Converse badge on the medial side, even offering a pop of color from the blue outsole.
Both progressive iterations of the classic Chuck Taylor are available on UNKNWN’s web store.
