This installment of our weekly product drops sees a lone release from Palace with the second drop of its highly-anticipated Spring/Summer 2019 collection. The rollouts feature seven installments comprised of seasonal collections, special capsules and collaborations. Leading the set is Palace‘s Week 2 drop comprised of transitional pullovers, light jackets and an accompanying selection of street staples

A collaboration filled collection from Isetan to celebrate the remodeling of its Shinjuku Men’s Pavillion and mark its 15th anniversary satisfy those after some high profile team-ups. While 10.Deep‘s Pokémon collab triggers a sense of nostalgia, Hiroshi Fujiwara‘s latest Burton AK457 capsule pays homage to the slopes of Winter and The Gorillaz make another foray into fashion with Levi’s. BLACK COMME des GARÇONS is also gearing up to drop its Nike-filled Spring/Summer 2019 collection. Rounding things up is an SS19 supplementary drop from maharishi, which serves as a reinterpretation of military codes and is dubbed “Shattered Miltype.”

Key items this week include Palace’s Tri-Fade Hoodie, UNDERCOVER x Nike GYAKUSOU Isetan Shinjuku T-shirt, Burton AK457 onsen-inspired Seki Hoodie, 10.Deep’s rhinestone Meowth Hoodie and more.

‘Pokémon’ x 10.Deep Collection

Centered around nostalgia, 10.Deep‘s latest collaboration recalls some of Pokémon’s most iconic characters.

Notable pieces in the special range pay homage to the most famous Pokémon of all time: Pikachu. The electric-type character appears as both a lightning silhouette and by way of its classic artwork from the anime, complemented by a partially-3D rendering of its name in Japanese Katakana. Playful prints also recall Team Rocket’s Jessie, James and Meowth, even referencing their iconic catchphrases with ”BLASTING OFF TOUR” graphics and the phrase “SURRENDER NOW OR PREPARE TO FIGHT!”

Burton AK457 Seki Hakkoda Capsule Collection

Continuing his AK457 Burton collaborative line, Hiroshi Fujiwara tapped Burton team rider Takeuchi Masanori to help design a new ski/snow inspired capsule.

The Seki Hakkōda capsule collection pays homage to the snowy mountains of Seki Mountain (an onsen resort in Niigata Prefecture) and Hakkōda Mountain (Aomori Prefecture). Simple “NG457” graphics represent the Niigata Prefecture, while Hakkōda items are branded with “AM457” in front of a snow-covered mountain. fragment design lightning bolt logos mark Hiroshi’s signature understated flair and serve to round up the capsule.

The Gorillaz x Levi’s Collection

Making another foray into fashion, animated band Gorillaz recently teamed up with Levi’s on a customizable collection.

The special range focuses on Levi’s signature logo, which has been reworked by artist and Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett. The four Gorillaz members — 2D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russel Hobbs are also distinctly featured throughout the collection. Items include denim jackets with spray paint-style graphics, as well as printed hoodies, T-shirts and tote bags, all of which can be customized. Personalization options are exclusively drawn from Jamie Hewlett’s library of artwork.

Isetan Shinjuku Men’s 15th Anniversary Collection

To celebrate the recent reopening of its Men’s Pavilion after a large-scale remodeling and 15th-anniversary, Isetan Shinjuku put together a special pop-up with exclusive collaborations from Heron PrestonOff-White™Palm AngelsYohji YamamotoNew EraMarniAcne Studios, and more.

The standout piece of the celebratory range has to be the collaborative T-shirt from UNDERCOVER x Nike GYAKUSOU, which comes in white and blue-based colorways. Other items in the range include a wide variety of trench coats to cargo and work pants, mid layers, T-shirts and more.

4 MONCLER SIMONE ROCHA Spring/Summer 2019

Shortly after its recent multi-designer presentation in Milan, Moncler Genius has released its collaborative SS19 collection with Simone Rocha.

Serving as the latest offering from 4 MONCLER SIMONE ROCHA, the womenswear range plays with the silhouettes associated with Moncler. The seasonal collection is centered around frills and billowy decorations that create an interesting display of 3D fashion. Flowers serve as the main inspiration, appearing in patterns and forms that make up notable pieces.

Palace Spring 2019 Collection Drop 2

Following up last week’s inaugural Spring 2019 drop, Palace is gearing up to deliver another helping of uniquely British skatewear.

For its Week 2 drop, Palace went for transitional pullovers and light jackets to combat the brisk weather. Leading the selection is the Tri-Ferg focused Tri-Fade Hoodie, simply branded Twill 1/4 Hoodie and retro-themed F-Lock Crewneck. Other notable street staples include the Flaggin T-shirt, Strap Shell 6-Panel, Deflecto Sling Sack and Deflecto Flip Stash.

maharishi “Shattered Miltype” Collection

Keeping the releases coming, maharishi put together a new collection of graphic layering pieces to go along with its SS19 seasonal range.

Dubbed ”Shattered Miltype,” the selection of wares continues the British brand’s reinterpretation of military codes via abstracted deconstruction print. Olive drab and black Flight Nylon Utility Vests sport the motif, alongside a Shooter Shirt and several panel caps, while Waffle Knit Crew Sweats offer a form of cubist camouflage.

BLACK COMME des GARÇONS Spring/Summer 2019 Collection

Returning for SS19, Rei Kawakubo’s more affordable offshoot label, BLACK COMME des GARÇONS, is set to drop even more collaborative items with Nike.

The team-up continues the high fashion elevation of the iconic sportswear company’s signature Swoosh, as it is applied onto an array of blazers, shirting, and unique trousers and skirts. Notable pieces include the various collaborative T-shirts, lightweight blazer jackets toting gray-fringed pocket and trousers done in a skirt-like style.
