adidas YEEZY 700 V3 "Azael" Receives Official Look and Release Date
The latest silhouette in Kanye West’s popular YEEZY 700 line will debut on December 23.
Kanye West confers another blessing upon his acolytes this holiday season, as his brand-new adidas YEEZY 700 V3 “Azael” is set to drop before 2019 ends. A bold departure from the chunky stylings espoused on the adidas YEEZY line’s YEEZY BOOST 700 and 700 V2, the V3 offers a slimmer look, an absence of BOOST cushioning and a slashed price point — opening a new chapter for West and adidas‘s partnership.
With a heavenly blend of white, sail and grey hues on its upper, the YEEZY 700 V3 uses a striped monofilament mesh for its main shell. Although this might bring visions of the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2‘s striped style to mind, the overlays quickly differentiate the top half from other YEEZY models. Skeleton-like RPU plastic structures encase both the lateral and medial sides to provide stability while also glowing in the dark.
These layers encase a black neoprene sock that offers both contrast and snug comfort. Apart from playing with tone and texture, this soft base also features more hi-vis reflective detailing on the throat. Down below, an EVA foam midsole encased in a polyurethane shell proffers bouncy comfort and a sharply raised heel, similar to the new style seen on the YEEZY BOOST 380. A bluish-grey outsole and visible blue midsole foam finalize the look.
The adidas YEEZY 700 V3 “Azael” will release via the adidas YEEZY webstore in North America and Europe on December 23, retailing for $200 USD. This reduced retail price is certainly of note, as the absence of BOOST cushioning brings the ticket down a full $100 USD from the price point of the last two models.
West is staying busy on the business front as well: he’s hoping to open a YEEZY sample lab in Cody, Wyoming early next year.
