Though Pharrell Williams and NIGO recently partnered on a set of collaborative kicks, the two aren’t taking a collaborative hiatus, not by a long shot. The pair have rejoined for a HUMAN MADE drop that delivers an homage to Star Trak, the record label founded in 2002 by Williams and the Neptunes.
Williams’ Billionaire Boys Club dropped its own Star Trak capsule in 2018, but this partnership offers a more expansive twist on the co-branding than that release, which delivered unfussy prints of the Star Trak logo. The HUMAN MADE range includes hoodies and two T-shirt lengths realized with the Japanese brand’s text logo and illustrative renderings of a blue hand outstretched in the Vulcan Salute, with “Star Trak” emblazoned inside. Star Trak’s logo appears on the sleeves of the long-sleeved shirts and on the rear of the short-sleeved counterparts, a suitable tribute to the beloved imprint.
As HUMAN MADE explains on Instagram, the collaboration will arrive at Isetan Shinjuku Men’s on November 27 by way of a special pop-up store, which runs until December 25. The co-branded layering pieces will all be on hand as well as pre-orders for a new set of HUMAN MADE sneakers and plastic boxes, which are not part of the Star Trak collaboration.
