Rema Is Blindfolded & Seduced in New Visual for "Lady"
The afrobeat upstart has also announced U.S. tour dates for his latest EP.
Following the release of his recent Bad Commando Mixtape EP, 19-year-old Nigerian upstart Rema has returned with a visual for project highlight “Lady.” Continuing to showcase his next-gen afrobeat sound, the single sees the singer-meets-rapper exuding his crooning vocals, whereby the Altima-produced instrumental promotes various warm rhythms and grooves reminiscent of traditional African music.
The Tadas Vanagas-directed and produced video, shot in a dimly-lit East London garage, focuses in on a blindfolded Rema as he’s seduced by a dancing female. Rema was recently featured in our Best New Artists piece earlier this fall, as well as being featured on former U.S. President Barack Obama’s exclusive summer playlist.
You can watch the visual for “Lady” above. Rema has also announced a U.S. tour for the EP — dates can be found via the embed below.
