Nike Adds to React-Type GTX Lineup With New "Phantom" Colorway
Equipped with GORE-TEX for all-weather performance.

After debuting earlier this month, Nike‘s React-Type GTX silhouette is back with a new “Phantom” colorway. Combining rugged GORE-TEX material with a sleek shape and comfy React cushioning, the React-Type GTX is one of the newest members of the Nike N.354 sub-line, a set of conceptual silhouettes with a moniker inspired by the legendary Steve Prefontane’s fastest mile time, 3:54.
The low-slung upper is dressed in a subtle mix of phantom and light grey tones, equipping a GORE-TEX midfoot overlay and using technical mesh on the collar and toebox. Translucent icy blue pieces appear on both the top and bottom eyestays, while branding is scattered around the upper. A black Swoosh appears on the lateral midfoot directly under a GORE-TEX tag, while N.354’s hand-drawn Swooshes and text are both present on the tongue. More GORE-TEX branding hits the heel tab, and a blue jeweled badge with yet another Swoosh is laid atop the toebox.
Down below, the full-foot React midsole cuts bulk and adds style with its cored-out design. The shape is slightly reminiscent of the popular React Element 87 and React Element 55, but differentiates itself by beefing up the heel. More translucent blue pops on the outsole finalize the look and provide grip.
The Nike React-Type GTX “Phantom” will release at retailers like Sneakersnstuff on November 13. The MSRP is set at $160 USD.
Elsewhere in the world of Nike, the brand just unveiled a brand-new silhouette dubbed the Zoom Pulse — designed for medical professionals who are on their feet all day.
