Renowned publisher Taschen just launched a deck of tarot cards designed by the legendary Spanish surrealist, Salvador Dalî. The artist was initially commissioned by the late American film producer, Albert R. Broccoli, to create original artwork for a set of cards for the 1973 James Bond movie, ‘Live and Let Die.’
The set encompasses 78 cards that draw inspiration from Western masterworks (classical to modern) alongside Dalî’s hallucinogenic motifs including his ten of swords cards that portray the assassination of Julius Caesar and the queen of cups card that features a female subject with a goatee.
Taschen is releasing the deck with an accompanying instruction book on November 15. It’s now available to preorder on the Taschen’s website for $60 USD.
In other collectibles, Avant Arte teamed up with Vhils on two sculptural editions.
