A Look Inside Bone Soda & Nike's "TRACK & FIELD" C/O VIRGIL ABLOH™ ©2019 Event
Launching the second “Athlete In Progress” collection.
To mark the arrival of the second “Athlete In Progress” collection, Nike and Virgil Abloh partnered with London-based creative studio and record label Bone Soda for an event in London that referenced the collection’s athletic influences. The event — titled “TRACK & FIELD” C/O VIRGIL ABLOH — saw 12 teams of five take part in a number of athletic games and activities, all while wearing the new collection.
Taking place in the Lee Valley Sports Center in East London, the concept behind the track and field-themed event was described as “Sports Day meets Takeshi’s Castle.” All teams who took part wore the collection’s training and running apparel, as well as the collaborative Vapor Street sneakers from the “Athlete in Progress” capsule.
