Futura will be holding his latest exhibition, “Generation Z,” at The Mass gallery in Tokyo this month. The exhibition will showcase 27 specially-commissioned works on canvas and mixed-media collages and four different kinds of sculptures. Futura recently teased a new 1.76 meters tall ‘FL-001’ sculpture as part of the upcoming exhibition.
As the artist is no stranger to collaborations, “Generation Z” will include a range of photographs by Timothy McGurr, widely known as 13th Witness, as well as a collaborative work on canvas with Brooklyn-based graffiti artist Stash. For the first time ever, the gallery will also be featuring a suspended site-specific installation by Futura.
The poster for the show, seen below, was designed by Futura and Jun Takahashi. The duo have been friends and collaborators for over two decades and are featured in the cover story for HYPEBEAST Magazine’s 27th issue. “Generation Z” will be on show at Tokyo’s The Mass gallery from November 16 to December 15.
