Black Friday Releases From Nike, adidas and More Hit the Market in This Week's Best Footwear Drops
Collabs, new signature basketball shoes and more — it’s an unquestionably busy week in the world of footwear.

Thanksgiving is upon us, and sneaker lovers the world over have plenty to be grateful for this season: desirable collaborations, new silhouettes and compelling colorways are all set to arrive to market over the course of the week as part of Thanksgiving/Black Friday’s annual madness. There’s something for everyone dropping this week, but plenty went down over the last seven days as well — so let’s get up to speed before we fully immerse ourselves in Black Friday footwear.
Several of the footwear industry’s most notable collaborative partners announced, previewed and teased new projects. G-Dragon’s Nike Air Force 1 “Para-Noise” made a sizable impact with sneakerheads showing off the layered detailing on their pairs. Supreme’s next Nike project was revealed: two styles of the Air Cross Trainer 3, a resoundingly random silhouette from Nike’s ’90s archives. KITH frontman Ronnie Fieg also presented an Air Force 1 collaboration — his brand’s first-ever take on the beloved silhouette.
Not to be outdone, Sean Wotherspoon also provided more info on his three-way GEL-Lyte III collaboration with ASICS and atmos. The ever-present Kanye West took a break from presenting religious-tinged operas to make some noise in the world of footwear, thanks to rumored adidas YEEZY release dates for December, and we were given a detailed look at CLOT and fragment’s silk-equipped Air Force 1. Looking at co-created efforts through a different lens, HYPEBEAST explored the methods behind Vans’ ever-impressive collaborative output in a new editorial piece as well.
Basketball fans got their fill with a healthy dose of hoops-adjacent news too. Rising star D’Angelo Russell of the Golden State Warriors inked a deal with Li-Ning’s Way of Wade sub-brand, becoming the first hooper signed to the company by Dwyane Wade himself. LeBron James’s Nike LeBron 17 “Win-Win” — thought by many to be another collaboration with Harlem Fashion Row — had its true inspiration revealed, and Jordan Brand gifted its NBA athletes an ultra-rare Air Jordan 4 “Dress Code” PE, perfect for any and all pregame entrances. Nike also invested in a sustainable footwear company dubbed HandsFree Labs, furthering the mission it started with its FlyEase silhouettes.
Elsewhere, a former designer at YEEZY started a sustainable footwear brand aptly named ILYSM, making a sock sneaker and priced at a budget-conscious $99 USD. On the more expensive end of the spectrum, another ultra-rare original Nike Moon Shoe was presented by Goldin Auctions, with a staggering starting bid of $100,000 USD. Gucci and Balenciaga released new versions of the popular Rhython and Triple-S, respectively, and the ever-popular New Balance 993 was brought back in two made-in-the-USA colorways.
Caught up? Good. Let’s see what Thanksgiving, Black Friday and the rest of the week have in store for us.
