Jordan Brand Prepares Luxurious Air Jordan 13 "Island Green"
An extravagant take on the beloved silhouette.

Jordan Brand is looking to luxury materials and striking textures for a new Air Jordan 13 colorway dubbed “Island Green.” Using the same teal hue present on the recently-revealed Air Jordan 5 “Island Green,” this take on Michael Jordan‘s 13th signature sneaker mixes bold accents and high-end construction, creating a look that’s fresh in style but inherently familiar in shape.
The AJ13’s standard pockmarked quarter panel is gone, replaced by a scaly black crocodile leather. A traditional tumbled leather graces the toebox. This stark material combination is briefly contrasted with supple teal suede, which originates on the heel before wrapping onto the lateral/medial sides and dropping down onto the midsole. The normal holographic jewel on the ankle has been replaced by a chrome iteration that mixes a 23 hit with a Jumpman logo, but it’s not gone completely — it still appears in its other standard place on the outsole. A three-dimensional metal Jumpman logo on the tongue completes the look.
The Air Jordan 13 “Island Green” will release on Nike SNKRS and at select Jordan stockists come November 9. The retail price is set at $200 USD, slightly raised in line with the premium materials used.
In other Nike news, the classic Air Flight 89 is back in an OG “Black/White” colorway to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
