Best Coast Introduce New LP 'Always Tomorrow' & Share "For the First Time" Video
It’s been over four years since the band released an album.
Four years after the release of their previous studio album California Nights, Best Coast are formally announcing their next major LP and introducing the project by serving up a new single and music video. Specifically, the follow-up to 2015’s California Nights will come in the form of an album titled Always Tomorrow; our first taste and preview of that full-length comes courtesy of a Kevin Hayes-directed visual for its lead single, “For the First Time.”
According to an official statement posted to Best Coast’s social media accounts, “For the First Time” is a record “about feeling comfortable in your own skin and looking at the skin you had to shed to get there and being OK with it all.”
”Thank you for your patience while we finish up our record and get everything ready for you- we hope this song keeps you company until then. One exciting thing I can tell you about the album is, it already has a title – - Always Tomorrow. More on that soon,” Best Coast share. “Big shout out to all our friends for being in the video, @theoinkster for the burger hookup and our dear friend Kevin Hayes @thedirtiestlittlerainbow for throwing this thing together at the last minute when Beth called him with a crazy idea and not a lot of time to make it happen. Growth is wild, exciting and scary, but we’re really excited about what’s to come and very grateful to have you along with us on this lil ride called life. Cheers to a new chapter.”
