Mozzy Reconnects with Fellow Northern California Favorite Berner on "3 Deep"
A new single in support of Berner’s ‘La Plaza’ project.
Later this month, Berner plans on releasing his latest major studio project, La Plaza. The follow-up to his Pheno Grigio tape with Curren$y, La Plaza will deliver 21 new tracks to listeners, including collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Fat Joe, Wiz Khalifa, Cypress Hill, Lil Pete and others. Further supporting and promoting the aforementioned full-length, Berner is reconnecting with another one of his region’s most beloved rappers and one of his closest collaborators, Mozzy, for a new joint single titled “3 Deep.” Berner and Mozzy are certainly no strangers to each other, having cooked up an entire project together earlier this year — February’s Slimey Individualz.
“I create music for myself, shit that I can throw in the deck and vibe out to and cry to and smoke my dope to and enjoy my life to,” Mozzy previously shared with The Atlantic, opening up about the creative process that births flows and verses like those that make up his bars on “3 Deep.” “My music based on reality, soulful, very touching, gang-related, heart-felt, full of consequences. It’s just the lifestyle we live. I try not to glorify it, I give you the good, bad, and ugly.”

Mozzy has been in a collaborative mood as of late, having reunited with Tsu Surf for another high-profile single and visual earlier this month, last week’s “This Weekend.”
