'Six Stories of GORE-TEX Products Vol. 3' Interviews Designers from Stone Island, Arc’teryx Veilance and More
Up close and personal with the weather resistant technology.
For the first issue of Six Stories of GORE-TEX Products, the makers of GORE-TEX, Gore, spoke with luminaries like Hiroki Nakamura of visvim and White Mountaineering’s Yosuke Aizawa. Last year saw the release of the second issue, which offered interviews with brands like Off-White™, New Balance and Norse Projects.
Six Stories of GORE-TEX Products Vol. 3, the latest issue, boasts dialogues with a half-dozen more creatives: Gore spoke with Takanori Kasuga (Arc’teryx Veilance), Carlo Rivetti (Stone Island), Katz Yamada (ASICS), Miguel Fluxà (Camper), Paul Mittleman (Converse) and — for the second time — Eiichiro Homma of THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL & nanamica, along with The North Face Japan’s Ryo Takanashi. Topics range from form vs. functionality, to the purpose of GORE-TEX fabric in each label’s creations. The book is a “celebration of these processes, ” according to Gore, with each brands’ distinct design philosophies showcased alongside a variety of GORE-TEX-infused goods, which include ASICS GEL-Mai sneakers and HYKE x The North Face Fall/Winter 2018 goods.
Stay tuned for more news on Six Stories of GORE-TEX Products Vol. 3‘s release. Most recently, Off-White™ nearly sold out its new GORE-TEX collection in mere days.
