Noir Kei Ninomiya is one of COMME des GARÇONS‘s youngest sublabels, but it’s quickly become known for collections of all-black, technically-crafted clothing. That eye for detail carries over for the brand’s Moncler Genius collaboration, dubbed “6 Moncler.” Following Hiroshi Fujiwara’s 7 Moncler line, this release centers around feminine silhouettes crafted from textured leather and shiny nylon textiles. Intricate workmanship appears throughout, with the fabrics manipulated into detailed ruffling, ruching and appliqué, with Moncler‘s signature puffer design revamped into vests, coats and jackets sporting disparate quilting patterns and three-dimensional flowers. Down-filled tubes are knitted into bulky pullovers, cardigans, mufflers and zippered blousons, with leather harnesses adding punk edge to pleated skirts.
Take a look at the laborious process that went into the garments below. 6 Moncler Noir Kei Ninomiya launches July 25 at Moncler’s website and boutiques. Dover Street Market‘s site will also host the drop for 5 days, then the range goes live at select stockists on July 30.
