This is some pretty unfortunate news for stateside fans of U.K. grime star Skepta. For those interested in seeing the emcee during his forthcoming U.S. run, your plans might be in some serious trouble. Taking to Instagram earlier today, Skepta revealed that his U.S. visa was denied. “Love to everybody that wanted to see me on tour this month, my U.S visa has been denied and I am not allowed in America right now,” wrote Skepta in an Instagram caption. “Still taking forward steps and forever working with God. Brb,” he concluded, choosing to end the news on a more positive note. This afternoon, Skepta’s reps also told FADER in a statement that they were “in the process” of resolving the visa issue. So, like Skepta’s crew themselves say, keep your “fingers crossed.”
