Van Styles' Go-To Photography Gear
Van Styles shares how he got into photography with his favorite camera bodies.
This week Adorama kicks off a new episode of their own Through The Lens series, which focuses on photography’s constantly evolving aesthetic as seen through this generation’s influential creatives. Episode 15 of the web series’ second season sees the agency linking with renowned photographer Van Styles, also the proud owner and creative director of his brand Visual Apparel (V/SUAL). The New York-born, Los Angeles-raised Stephen Vanasco adopted “Van Styles” when he was approached to direct his first adult film gig in the early 2000s, and has since burgeoned the moniker as a household name in LA’s photography scene. His skate roots are the fuel but not the limitation to his artistic scope, having a strong portfolio bolstered by a variety of landscape, street, portrait and skate photography, each captured with different tools and camera bodies. Get familiar with Van Styles’ story and catch the Sal D’Alia-directed Through The Lens feature above.
