An Exclusive First Look at Raf Simons' Latest Fred Perry Capsule
The designer continues the long running collaboration.
Days after presenting his “Youth In Motion” collection at New York Fashion Week: Men’s, Belgian designer Raf Simons continues his longstanding work with Fred Perry with another capsule. The latest collection sees Simons continue the youthful influence that has ran throughout his work, with references to punk and DIY culture also featured throughout the capsule.
The most notable example of this is the use of duct tape, which appears everywhere from covering the Fred Perry laurel wreath on hoodies and tees to adorning polo shirt collars and side seams. Elsewhere, the collection also includes a take on the Fred Perry pique polo shirt, which comes with darted and contrast collar touches, and black trousers that come with a matching workwear-influenced jacket. To unveil the collection, Fred Perry has tapped director Sharna Osborne to create a visual lookbook. The capsule is set to drop via the Fred Perry web store on February 15.
