PUMA Reboots the RS-System With Updated RS-0
A new spin on the retro runner silhouette.

PUMA puts a new spin on a classic style with its new RS-0. Revising the RS series — short for “Running System” — from the ’80s, the line was PUMA’s answer to cutting edge sneaker technology, blending hi-tech design with running shoe comfort.
Reinterpreting the original’s high-end cushioning tech with a self-aware retro aesthetic, the RS-0 offers a contemporary take on a recognizable runner shape. A range of beige, black and white hues inform the mostly-neutral color palette, with green accents adding slight visual flair to a complementary RS-100. The RS-0 boasts a slightly slimmer profile than its RS-100 counterpart, with a toned-down midsole and less complex panelling allowing for more pared-back styling. Plastic ribbed detailing on the heel and leather tongue branding elevate the shoe beyond workaday runner, while striped PUMA branding on the medial side recalls the sneaker’s ’80s influence.
