A Closer Look at the Off-White™ x IKEA Collaboration
“BLUE.”
The Off-White™ x IKEA collaboration was first announced last June at the Swedish furniture giant’s “Democratic Design Days” event, where Virgil Abloh unveiled a redesigned IKEA FRAKTA bag with “Sculpture” on the side. Later on, a paisley-print rug with “KEEP OFF” was teased during a talk in IKEA’s prototype lab.
Now an Instagram by Portnygain, who was visiting IKEA’s creative lab in Sweden, has inadvertently revealed more of the collection. The main addition is a large red rug with “BLUE” in the center, while the Off-White™ text is in the bottom right corner.
As of right now there’s still no release date for the impending Off-White™ x IKEA collaboration, but we will be sure to update with more information.
