Tom Dixon Teams up With IKEA to Create the DELAKTIG Collection
The iconic designer hacks the Swedish giants.

Having late last year teamed up with whisky brand Johnnie Walker, Tom Dixon now has a new collaborator in the form of furniture behemoths IKEA, creating an official hack called DELAKTIG. The base of the collaboration is an aluminium frame, which has the base layer of a single bed. The additional modular elements transform the product into chaise longue and, finally, a three-seat sofa.
There’s also accessories, such as the Boom Light, a floor lamp that can be attached to the sofa, and the side table, which can be turned into either a resting spot for any appliances or a magazine rack. In addition to these accessories, there’s also a selection of throws and covers that’ll transform the look of the sofa. The HACK throws come in navy boucle as well as a black Icelandic Sheepskin fabric cover that’s called The Beast.
The IKEA DELAKTIG collection is available in the UK and Europe only, and is available now from Tom Dixon’s web store. The news comes just days after IKEA founder Ingvar Kamprad passed away at the age of 91.
