The Shoe Surgeon Honors Takashi Murakami With Off-White™ Air Jordan 1 Customs
The “Lux” Flower sports 12 different panels of colorful python skin.
In recognition of Takashi Murakami‘s immense contributions to the world of art, The Shoe Surgeon gifted the Japanese creative a pair of these bespoke Off-White™ Air Jordan 1 “Lux” Flower sneakers. Crafted from python skin reimagined in 12 different hues, the sneaker sports its usual deconstructed detailing, including a stitched-on Swoosh and bold-face verbiage on the midsole. Instead of the usual “AIR” text, however, the sneaker reads “FLOWER,” in deference to Murakami’s signature flower pillows.
For those not lucky enough to be gifted a pair, The Shoe Surgeon’s website will offer a limited run of the shoe on November 17.
Meanwhile, the other recipient of the bespoke “Lux” Flower shoe, J Balvin, recently received a bespoke Murakami chain courtesy of Ben Baller.
