Nike's "Noise Cancelling" Collection Celebrates Brand's New NYC Location
Remembering incredible moments in sports that left the big apple speechless.
Nike will officially open the doors to its new flagship in New York City this week. In celebration, the Swoosh has announced a special “Noise Cancelling” collection that will honor incredible moments in the city’s sports history. Each silhouette is presented in a classic white-on-white colorway with removable Swooshes to offer a dose of customization. At the new flagship, shoppers will be able to dip-dye, embroidery, printing, patches, lasering and more their pairs.
The range adds the Air Jordan 1 High in honor of this year’s collaborative drop alongside Queen’s own Nigel Sylvester. The Kobe 1 Protro comes up next paying homage to Kobe Bryant‘s 61-point performance against the New York Knicks back in 2009. The Nike Cortez joins the mix as an ode to Maria Sharapova‘s second Grand Slam win at Flushing Meadows at the age of nineteen. The Air Force 1 Low takes on the familiar all-white color scheme and highlights Odell Beckham Jr.‘s amazing one-handed catch back in 2014. The offering is completed by the Zoom Fly model which commemorates Shalane Flanagan’s inspiring Olympic victory last year. Her amazing feat officially marked her as the first American female runner to win in four decades.
The Nike “Noise Cancelling” collection will be available in limited quantities at the new NYC location beginning on November 15. Head over to Nike to view each model’s specific availability dates.
